The first thing you notice about Toki Tori from Chillingo is just how amazing it looks! The attention to detail here is quite stunning. In fact the whole experience from start to finish is so well polished, it leaves you wondering why there can’t be more games of this quality in the App Store.
Toki Tori has a certain charm that is impossible to resist. The objective is simple yet challenging. Guide Toki Tori through 80 levels spread over 4 mysterious worlds- collecting eggs as you go. As you progress through the worlds, new items and weapons are made available.
Like all good puzzlers, this will put your brain to work during the later levels- but it never gets to the point where you want to throw your iPhone out of the nearest window in rage! This is partly thanks to the inclusion of a wild card that can be played to advance one level should you become stuck, but also because the game is so much fun to play and possesses that just one more go quality!

Toki Tori deserves a place on everyones iPhone. Cracking stuff!

To be fair, Joe could have chosen a far safer place to practice his juggling. He has balls standing up on the rooftop like that! However, without Joe’s bravery (and his balls!) we would be missing out on one of the most painfully funny experiences available in the app store. Kick Joe off his ledge above the city and catch his balls on as many targets as possible. Ignite fart jetpacks to gain altitude and help you reach all parts of the level. Completing achievements will unlock videos of people busting their balls (naturally!) There is even an option to record and use your own sounds! And to quote a claim from the developers at Jetson Creative: This is the only app in the app store that lets you kick a dude in the balls!

Verdict:
Ow My Balls! delivers short bursts of laughter as apposed to hours of deep gameplay- but don’t let that put you off. Playing isn’t a painful experience- unless your name is Joe (and you like juggling!)

Whilst doodling away, half dazed from the boring lecture I was in, I thought I saw the image move. The Martians I was drawing were invading my notepad! I had to do something to stop them. Pen in hand, I drew a hero to fight them off. Bold, brave, no fear of death, the story unfolded before my eyes…
The Earth was in peril… again!

In this latest adventure from Chillingo - you play as Generic Marine (G to his friends) who has been handed the small task of saving planet Earth from a full scale invasion- Cue, some serious Martian butt kicking!
G’s arsenal of deadly weapons, ranging from single shot lasers to ‘move out of my way’ grenade launchers! means there is still a small glimmer of hope for the survival of mankind!
Collecting Martian rocks and meteors will earn you much needed cash to purchase items from vending machines along the way. G’s jetpack is also a handy addition for collecting out of reach rocks and meteors or simply escaping the hordes of Martians when your ammo dries up during Rush!
There are a total of 30 mutant infested levels to blast through spanning 3 unique locations. And with the promise of more content to come (bosses!) you need to be adding this one to your collection right away. As for the presentation and gameplay? It’s Chillingo - enough said!
